Guidelines for Admission & Enrolment

  1. Timeline and admission announcement:
  • Vinschool will send announcement about time and location of placement tests to parents via email and SMS 07 days before the test date;
  • Vinschool will send test results of students to parents via email and SMS 07 days after the test date.
  • Vinschool will send announcement about student’s test results, either Accepted or Unaccepted. The assessment criterion is based on the suitability between students and Vinschool teaching curriculum (by screening student’s academic transcript, results of placement tests and student/parents interviews at Vinschool).
  1. Placement tests: Placement tests consist of two parts: written test and interview:
  • Written test:
    • Math and Language proficiency: contents and knowledge assigned in teaching curriculum of Ministry of Education and Training;
    • Logical thinking test;
    • English language: English placement tests are different for Vinschool Standard program and Vinschool Advanced program. Students who enroll in Vinschool Standard program are not required to take English placement test
  • Interview with student: 10 – 15 minutes

Interview with Parents: Academic Council organizes meetings with parents to understand about their expectations and educational pathway for the student and to work out the suitability between student and Vinschool education system.

  1. Required documents for enrolment
    1. For students who first enroll in Vinschool:

After making decision on the enrolment of the student at Vinschool and receiving the offer letter from Vinschool Admission Office, parents are required to submit following documents:

Documents that must be submitted in hard copies directly to the Admission Office and Customer Service include:

  • 01 photo of student, sized 3×4 and taken within 01 month
  • 01 certified copy of Birth certificate.
  • Academic transcript:
    • Grade 2 and Grade 3: Submit original School record – Primary school;
    • Grade 4 to Grade 6: Submit original School record – Primary school (in old form) and original School record – Primary school (in edited form) (30th Circular);
    • Grade 7 to Grade 9: Submit original School record – Secondary school;
    • Grade 10: Submit original School record – Secondary school, Certificate of Secondary School Graduation (Temporary) or Secondary School Diploma, Result of Grade 10 Entrance Examination;
    • Grade 11 and Grade 12 and Grade 10 (enrolment in the second semester): School transfer documents in accordance with regulations set by Hanoi Department of Education and Training (Hanoi Department of Education and Training releases announcement for specific semester)
  • Students from other cities/provinces are required to submit School transfer Letter (for Primary School, the School transfer Letter must be certified by Principal for Primary school; for Secondary school, the School transfer Letter must be certified by Head of Division of Education and Training; for High School, the School transfer Letter must be certified by Director of Department of Education and Training);

Students from high schools in other cities/provinces are required to submit  Registration card of stay and leave certified by Public Security station of the ward which student are moving to. Vinschool may also

require student to submit Letter of Commune/Ward/Town People’s Committee to confirm that he/she is not involved in any sentence or community training or does not violate the law.

Documents that should be submitted online include:

  • Medical Statement of student (can be submitted later during the school year when required);
  • Photo of farther, mother, or guardian (if any), sized 3×4;
  • Identification Card of farther, mother, or guardian (if any);
  • Household Registration Book;
  • Valid Compulsory Medical Insurance card (if any);
  • Birth Certificate of student in case he/she wants to prove his/her relationship with their siblings who are studying at Vinschool to get discounts for tuition fees and other fees.
  1. Vinschool student transfer between two educational levels:
  • Student in Alvin grade enroll in Grade 1, and student in Grade 5 enroll in Grade 6:
    • 01 photo of student, sized 3×4 and taken within 01 month;
    • 01 certified copy of Birth certificate.
  • Student in Grade 9 enroll in Grade 10:
    • 01 photo of student, sized 3×4 and taken within 01 month;
    • 01 certified copy of Birth certificate;
    • 01 Acceptance Letter for Grade 10; School record – Secondary school; School Transfer Request according to form M3 and School transfer Letter according to form M4 (if student had already enrolled in another school but then withdrew their application documents to enroll at Vinschool);

Parents are required to submit all of these documents before the deadline stated in the announcement of Vinschool. After the deadline, Vinschool may reject the student’s application.
